About the Event
Yoga has been shown to improve overall health when practised regularly. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing on the ground while using the chair for support. Chair Yoga is for everyone and can be practised by children, senior citizens, working professionals at a deskjob or even by those interested in changing up their usual stretching routine.
Gaurav Vohra, presently Teacher of Indian Culture at High Commission of India, Nicosia is a registered Yoga teacher, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active registered Yoga School. The School is a certified school from Quality Council of India.
Ever since he was in School he was active in Sports and had a passion for fitness. He was Sports captain during his School days. He had special interest in Athletics. Born in Holy city of Haridwar he used to practice yoga on banks of river Ganges as a daily routine. Gurukul Kangri University one of the pioneer Universities of Yoga and Vedanta also contributed towards his learning during his Postgraduation.
He has around 12 years of working India’s top Telecom and retail brands, during his stay with these organizations he was instrumental in introducing Yoga and Meditation Sessions in Corporates. He has been involved in teaching Yoga at Prison Inmates, Police Personnel, Resident Welfare Associations, etc bringing about awareness to them.
Always up for challenge Gaurav looks for ways to help his students come alive, respecting their body, honoring their breath, enjoying their practice. He hopes to lead individuals towards a deeper level of physical fitness and a stronger connection to their Body, Mind and Breath.
As per him Yoga has something for everyone both on the mat and off the mat. He believes that Discipline in life can make a big difference in one’s life.
Gaurav is involved in taking Corporate Yoga Programmes helping the employees handling and managing stress, he also has vast experience of taking Individual & group Yoga Sessions. He also loves sharing Therapeutic aspects of yoga helping people with lifestyle disorders. Apart from being a corporate trainer, he is Kids and Laughter Yoga Trainer also. He holds Post graduation in Management and Yoga.
Entrance: 5 euros for members 10 euros for non-members (With the possibility of becoming a CIWOT member on that day and pay only 5 euros for the chair yoga event. The membership fee would be 25 for one year.)
All funds will go to charity after having deducted the cost for renting the space.
