Who We Are.

We are a volunteer-run / non-profit association comprised of women living in and around Limassol, Cyprus. Our members come from many different countries, united by a common desire to connect, learn new things, and actively participate in service.

Our annual membership fee supports our operations and maximizes the funds we donate to our chosen charities. We hold general meetings monthly to share ideas, plan projects, and strengthen our bonds.

We are a dynamic, English-speaking association based in Limassol, Cyprus, dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where women from diverse international backgrounds can connect, grow, and contribute meaningfully to their local community.

CIWOT’s mission is to create a welcoming and supportive community for women living in Cyprus.

Through friendship, personal development, cultural exchange, and charitable work, we empower women to connect, grow, and contribute positively to society.

Our activities include social and educational events, networking opportunities, wellness and cultural programs, and support for local charitable causes that benefit women and vulnerable communities.

CIWOT exists to fulfill three essential needs for women in Cyprus:

To provide meaningful community service and support local charities through fundraising and volunteering. 

To help women become better leaders and strengthen individual talents through dedicated Personal Growth opportunities.

To offer friendship and networking, thereby connecting women and helping them feel rooted in their local community.

Story

Get to Know Us

Women of Today began in the United States in 1950 and now has many chapters and thousands of members across the country. The first chapter in Cyprus was founded in Limassol by Trish Powell, originally from Minnesota, who, with the support of the Minnesota branch, brought this inspiring concept to the island. Since then, CIWOT has grown into a vibrant, international community of women dedicated to friendship, personal growth, and giving back.
