Pesto spaghetti

Pesto spaghetti

Ingredients
 
1/2 cup chopped onion
 
1 cup fresh basil
 
1-2 gloves garlic
 
1/2 cup pine nuts
 
2 tablespoons olive oil
 
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
 

1 package spaghetti
 
salt to taste
 
ground black pepper to taste
 

How to
 
1. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water until done. Drain.
 
2. Put the basil, the garlic and the pine nuts in a blender and blend to make a paste.
 
3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium low heat. Add pesto, onion, and salt and pepper.
 
4. Cook about five minutes.
 
5. In a large bowl, mix pesto mixture into pasta. 6. Stir in grated cheese and serve
